Cold-calling (obviously alongside timeshare presentations) is a dangerous thing.
The TCA receives a worrying amount of calls from people who have been fleeced by cold-callers filling their heads with legal dreams and a light at the end of the timeshare tunnel.
We are politely asking anyone who receives these calls TO PUT THE PHONE DOWN!!!
By being polite and entertaining them means you are a potential client which in turn means, they will keep calling until you give in.
Say no thank you and ask them to take you off their list.
They are not the good guys. There are good, ethical and professional companies out there that can provide you with a great service. They won’t buy a list of numbers and call people to sell them a legal dream. They are in the office, working hard and people are continuing to use them because they do what they say on the tin!
