Letter from a Director
My wife and I have two weeks – week xx and xx at Keswick Bridge in Cumbria.
I am also an unpaid Director of Keswick Bridge Owners Club Limited (KBOCL), a Company limited by Guarantee.
KBOCL holds lease for the original 20 lodges from the developer, Keswick Bridge Limited (KBL) which is a profit seeking Company with Shares and holds the freehold of the whole site.
They built three new lodges by borrowing heavily against mortgage of freehold but not have had much success in selling them as timeshares. They are now planning to sell them as holiday homes.
The owners are worried about this development and so the Chairman resigned, two of the Directors of KBOC are not seeking re-election.
