TSE Management Ltd – A new old company
Another new company has emerged in the guise of TSE Management Ltd and in all honesty we are not sure what may be their specialist subject. Their website would indicate that they offer a multitude of services:
- Conveyancing
- Property Services
- Advisory
- Holiday Homes
- Pest Control
- Claims Management
A sort of jack of all tradesthat masters in none. Our first point of concern is that within the list they state that they offer Claims Management. If this was the case they would have to be regulated and registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This authorisation would need to be clearly displayed on their website together with their FRN number (FCA authorisation code). Given that neither appears on their website if they purport to carry out UK regulated claims management activities they are already breaking the law.
Whilst on the subject of registration, the company is registered at UK Companies House with a sole director being Sam Haggerty. The registration date is 22nd September 2020 which is rather odd because on the “About” page on their website, there is the following interesting statement:
“TSE Management have been helping with client’s property requirements throughout Europe since the early 1990s originally established in Brighton the new TSE HQ office finds itself based in central London.
We are industry specialists in all things property here in the UK and abroad, we have helped 1000’s of people purchase and maintain their dream house or timeshare.”
Sort of odd that the company have been helping clients since the 1990s when they were only formed less than two months ago .
The website confirms their trading office is 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1 3AX. According to Endole, there are 14,406 companies registered at that address which would indicate this is purely a serviced postal address.
Despite this rather prestigious London address, we doubt if you would be able to visit their offices, but should you be in the area here´s the front entrance:
Would it be of surprise that one of the leading companies offering virtual office services; British Monmarks, are also trading from the same address?
Another false statement appears on the home page of their website:
“MAY 19, 2020
TSE Management win legal battle against Club La Costa World”
That is some statement especially given that the company did not exist in May 2020 and it is not uncommon for Spanish court cases to take between 18 months and two years to come to fruition. So if this were a reality, it is very unlikely that TSE Management Ltd were remotely involved.
The company also boast a Trust Pilot rating. Here is our search of Trust Pilot and as may be evidenced, no such company as TSE Management Ltd exists:
The website also presents the usual social media links to LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, however when clicked they link directly to a site calledWix. This is a free platform for building “do-it-yourself” websites. So not only has this company produced a DIY website, but they have failed to correct the “off the shelf” links to social media.
As a final worrying point, what company nowadays creates a website with no contact telephone number or email address, this is extremely odd?
We are unsure of this company’sactual modus operandi, but all the above points would lead us to believe that they are not trust worthy. Just because they have a smart website and boast a flashy London address, doesn’t make them at all bona fide.
As we continually advise at the TCA, you need to be on your guard and do your homework. Most companies like this will present a great facade and no doubt extremely plausible stories, but in the end, if you fall for the slick appearance and patter, the only person who will lose out is you.
Timeshare scams are alive and well and live in a jungle inhabited by fraudsters waiting to con you at your every turn. Make sure you’re armed with a sharp machete to cut through the BS before entering.
