Timeshare Refund Calculator

Timeshare Refund Calculator – It seems that every week another scam company rears its ugly head but thanks to the diligence of both TCA and our compatriots at Inside Timeshare very few of them pass unnoticed.

Today we expose yet another new company whose sole intention is to convince you to hand over large sums of cash for absolutely nothing.

Timeshare Refund Calculator

The Website:

What immediately strikes us is their extremely amateur logo. Then there is the fact that the website was only created on 18 September 2020.

Looking deeper there is a quote on their home page which reads “Our 30 Second Free Online Calculator lets you know if you are eligible”. This is remarkable, these new superheroes can ascertain whether you are eligible for a refund in just 30 seconds! Wow. This is complete codswallop, without seeing your timeshare documentation or at the very least speaking to you, it would be impossible to state definitively that you have a compensation claim.

It is therefore of our opinion that the coding of this calculator will say you have an opportunity to compile a claim no matter what information is entered.

Upon selecting the tab “Free Online Assessment” they state the following alleged company credentials:

“Timeshare Refund Calculator is a trading name of the Technology Digital Systems Limited, registered in England and Wales under registration number at Companies House: 10343721.

Timeshare Refund Calculator is registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) under registration number: ZR293162”

Upon checking with UK Companies House there is no company registered under the name of Technology Digital Systems Limited. Instead the registration number quoted belongs to a firm called Talgesern who appear to be an insurance company.

Talgesern Limited

Also upon checking their ICO registration number, it is apparent that it too is false. Things are not looking good so far!

The site also quotes an address in York, which simply does not exist. Upon a Google search there is no matching address anywhere in the UK, however there is such an address in Canada; 27 Chiswick Ave, North York, ON M6M 4V1, Canada. Things are starting to go from bad to worse!!

Another worrying point is the fact that there is no contact number available anywhere upon their website, making it impossible for anyone to speak with them. Can things get any worse at this point?

On the “Free Online Assessment” page there is a most ridiculous statement regarding major timeshare players Club la Costa World:

“With Club La Costa going into liquidation in some countries, now is the time to see where you stand with your holiday package.”

This is not only scaremongering but is a blatant lie. To our knowledge Club la Costa (CLC) have simply closed their sales division for the foreseeable future. This is merely a consequence of the worldwide pandemic and we can assure you that there is certainly no suggestion that any of their 31 resorts have gone or are going into liquidation.

They also promote the logos of ABTA and the Independent newspaper on the same page. We have racked our brains but are still not remotely sure of their relevance.

The final blow for these rogues is the publication a whole row of payment card companies and platforms.

Payment methods

Not only does this suggest that you will be expected to make a payment, but it also insinuates that they are a trusted outfit with an established banking profile.

Please understand that it is highly unlikely that this organisation has any form of merchant facility that can receive either debit or credit cards payments. They simply do not have the experience or longevity to bode such credentials. It is of our opinion that this is just a ruse and when they do ask you complete a payment, it will almost certainly be paid by bank transfer.

Scam Alert

Our Opinion

From our investigations we would give this company a 0% trust factor. They demonstrate all the facets of a rogue trader. Another point of note is that they are embarking on a cold calling campaign. The fact that they appear to be less than two months old means they will not have been in a position to build a database of opted in enquiries. Calling from illegally obtained data is in direct contravention of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.

With no direct company registration, a false address, no contact phone number and a general feeling that the entire website presentation is a lie, do not get involved in this company.
