Norges Bank Purchases Huge Stake in Hilton Worldwide

In a recent report filed by Norges Bank to the SEC in early August this year it has been revealed that the Norwegian investment management firm have purchased a massive stake in Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. In the report covering the last quarter it details Norges Bank now holds a total of 46,226,359 shares of Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc, this equates to a colossal $1,105,272,244 and over 52% of their overall portfolio.

While some of the other larger Hedge Funds seem to be withdrawing from the Hilton brand, Norges has decided to up the ante and attempt to profit from this downturn and have gained a extensive amount of shares by doing so.

The likes of Renaissance Technologies sold ALL of its stake in Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc during the most recent quarter by selling off its 62,800 shares of Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc which is valued $1,501,548. But on the other side of the coin Asset Management Company Capstone boosted its stake in Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc in the latest quarter, The firm added an additional 10 shares and now holds a total of 12,980 shares of Hilton Worldwide which is valued at $306,588. On the stock market shares in Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc are fluctuating on a daily basis with a low of $23.98 to a high of $24.18.

Does the central bank of Norway have knowledge the rest of their competitors does not? One would hope that now with a huge stake in Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc, Norge Bank is secure in their purchase.

The Company operates through three segments: management and franchise ownership and timeshare.
