This website is owned ultimately by Mr Christopher Emmins. He is employed by the timeshare industry via the Timeshare Task Force which is supported by TATOC and the RDO.

Kwikchex has been active in monitoring “claims companies” who assert that they assist Consumers in obtaining timeshare exits. The companies he tends to focus on are those that he considers operate dubious enterprises. Clearly by his recent exposure he has been successful in his pursuit and adventure.

A recent article was published on the TCA website giving credit to his efforts which on this occasion.

That said, what is not commendable is that the Timeshare Task Force (his employers) do not investigate their own sponsor members. In that aspect the TTF and Kwikchex fall somewhat short.

It could be the case (in Kwikchex defence) that they are not instructed to investigate those members and therefore are mute on the issue (which is a shame). As the more efforts placed into the core reputational elements of disquiet in timeshare could yield fewer issues with the reputation distain the industry suffers from.

In turn, if the reputation of the industry was addressed, resorts were brought into line and miss-selling became a thing of the past, the sham organisations who peddle legal adventures would cease to exist.

This is the reality, as in many industries these fraudsters do not exist or rarely surface. In timeshare history has breads them, and as such unethical individuals can thrive in pools of other unlawful practices.

What is surprising is the fact that Kwikchex uses its resources to assist Consumers with exits, which is a service that it does not advertise.

They provide exits to timeshare Consumers and (as Mr. Emmins describe it) cost! This suggests a small amount. Again that in itself is not an issue. What is the issue is that his enterprise is a connected party to the very party who the Consumer challenges. A conflict of interest is therefore apparent, clear and obvious.

Kwikchex also investigates other legal providers. This claimed intrusion again may be a conflict against their own advice and relinquishment service. No doubt Mr Emmins is fully aware of this and will operate in conjunction with just caution.

The Time Timeshare Consumer Association is a not for profit organisation. It has extensive costs in supporting timeshare Consumers and as such, we rely upon the generosity of individuals, communities and businesses so as to provide a continuation of the free services that we offer.
