Silverpoint has reportedly brought in a large virtual training and consulting company that works within the resort industry in order to train salesmen. They claim to have an aim of “enhancing the integrity and profitability of the individual salesperson”.

Silverpoint Vacation club states;

“Taking all the best elements to come out of the vacation ownership industry over the last 35 years, and combining these with innovations stemming from extensive market research and feedback from the company’s 50,000 strong customer base, Silverpoint Vacation Club is THE holiday product for the 21st century”

  • So what is the need?
  • Why now?
  • Why does such a successful company with “THE holiday product for the 21st century” need to provide such excessive training?
  • Surely their salesmen are fully trained before they are unleashed on the public?
  • And surely they wouldn’t plough all that money into training their already honest and professional sales representatives how to suck eggs?

We can only see one reason as to why Silverpoint would make such a drastic move;

  1. To stop miss-selling

If that is the case, and whether they are willing to admit that their salesmen miss-sell or not, as long as we stop getting calls from distraught Consumers who have been caught up in  Silverpoint presentations then bring it on!

 Let’s see if this leopard can change its spots.
