Keith Dewhurst was born in 1955 in Essex.
After leaving school; Keith chose employment in Financial Services. He spent most of his career working with household institutions including 15 years with the Prudential Assurance Company. With the advent of the Financial Services Act, Keith studied and passed the requisite examinations as set by the Chartered Insurance Institute.
As a qualified Financial Advisor Keith worked for a number of years with multi branched Hertfordshire solicitors practice, Pictons.
Keith then went on to work for a financial advisory practice whose intention was to expand into Spain, Keith was charged with the responsibility of establishing the company at new offices in Marbella. The move to Spain necessitated having his UK financial advisory qualifications validated in Spain. This was achieved and therefore Keith is recognised by the Spanish regulatory body: Dirección General de Seguros y Fondos de Pensiones.
Keith first learned of timeshare after retiring from Financial Services and accepting a position at Holiday World in Benalmadena, southern Spain. He was employed by the sales company, Diversified Resorts.
After a short period he became disillusioned with both the timeshare industry and the product and so resigned. His interest was piqued after studying timeshare help sites such as Mindtimeshare, Inside Timeshare and Timeshare Consumer Association. All of which are independent, consumer focussed, volunteer help sites for timeshare victims, as well as sources of information for reporting media.
After learning that the TCA domain name had been acquired by ECC and believing ownership of such a domain would be incongruous to the ECC business model, Mr Dewhurst approached the Directors of ECC to request ownership of the domain, this was granted at no cost.
Despite being in his late 60s, Keith is passionate about advising and helping timeshare owners with problems or even simple questions and continually looks forward to assisting those owners in need.
