Timeshare Closure

It all begins with a cold call and a stylish website and Timeshare Closure is no exception. All looks good, until you dig a little deeper. From our initial research we can establish the domain name and website were only registered on 26thJune 2020, which is odd because in the “about us” section of the site it states:

“We have helped hundreds of customers avoid the pitfalls created by dubious organisations and in the rare case that we cannot help we will be able to recommend a company that can.”

Considering, at the time of writing, the site has been in existence for a mere 158 days we find it amazing that they have helped hundreds of customers.

Are they registered?

We have checked the records on both UK Companies house register and also the Spanish equivalent. There is no record on the UK registry, however there is a company registered on the Spanish mercantile registry named TC Closure SL. According to the entry, the company was registered on 8th June 2020 showing a sole Director as Savannah Mary Harriett. This would appear to be in line with the registration date of the website. The trading address is stated as Calle Tinguafaya 83 -local 1, Despacho 2, In Chayofa 38652 – (Arona) – Santa Cruz De Tenerife.

Conclusion

From copy correspondence we have received we conclude that Timeshare Closure is yet another lead generation company. Their contract is fairly standard for a straightforward timeshare exit but the puzzling point is reference to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) approved legal specialists. Timeshare exits are classified as unregulated business as far as the FCA is concerned and as such we fail to see the need to pass client data to such a regulated firm. The fact that this statement is included in the terms would tend to strengthen our belief that Timeshare Closure is simply lead generating for third parties.

Timeshare exits can be quite complicated and we would advise that advice is sought from those companies that carry out all the work in-house also the very same companies that have had a number of years of successful exits and happy clients as well.

As is our normal mantra, make sure you do your home work; all that glitters is not necessarily gold.
