We receive many phone calls and emails requesting advice. In every walk of life and in every region of countries there is a vocabulary. Unified within the timeshare industry which is used by many individuals and it enters into virtually every sentence… Are they a scam company? The word is clearly “scam”.

First of all, what is a scam?

The word itself means “a fraudulent business scheme, a swindler, a con artist, a trickster. When we are asked, are they a scam, if we confirm they are and that confirmations repeated, we could end up libelling someone wrongfully and therefore we have to be absolutely certain that the advice we give is fully backed up by the Courts. If it is not backed up then we cannot confirm it.

Therefore, we will never say a company is a scam company as;

  1. it would be wrong to do so;
  2. it would expose our organisation to liable and slander claims;
  3. it would harm the dreams of some honest entrepreneurs.

At all times, we have a duty to ourselves in that each Consumer who has a need for a particular product should listen to the representations made and adjudicate in his own mind whether or not that product will;

  1. Provide a benefit to the consumer;
  2. Whether it is reasonably pro;
  3. Whether or not the obligations within the contractual documents are reasonable.

If a Consumer has any doubts or suspects any misdemeanour they should not sign. It is as simple as that.

Everyone one of us wants a helping hand at some stage in our lives. Sometime a shoulder to cry on, sometimes someone to vent at, but what we can’t do is call them scammers unless a judge says we can. Make your own enquiries; make your own determinations from the quiet reflections that you owe yourself.

If somebody is pressurising you into buying something, the pressure is being exerted for a reason and that reason is not to benefit you, but exists to mask something else.
