We have had a very long conversation with a man who in truth was a delight and I do thank him for his candour.
He explained he has deep issues with the objections to the proposals/alteration McDonald want to make. In short he believes some consumers might have the wrong end of the stick.
This position should not be mocked as he might be right and it would be unjust to consumers to ignore the issue.
From our point of view people ought to consider his points fully and digest them before they make a decision on the 5th of August.
That seems perfectly sensible and the right thing to do.
We have therefore invited him to write an article in support of the MacDonald’s proposition so everyone has it from both sides.
As this man is very logical, in business, passionate and honest, he deserves and indeed has a right to put his points across and in defence of his understanding.
I have assured him I will not alter anything he says and I don’t have an issue with him obtaining assistance from others to clarify the points he wants to raise.
I therefore sincerely hope he comes back to me so that others may benefit from his knowledge.
In saying this and until we receive his advice our position remains the same.
If he (which I hope he does) chooses to tender his position we will keep all his details confidential.
