We previously published an article relating to a very fake firm of Spanish lawyers and their associated Notary:

It would appear that some “prospective” clients have been asking Torcaz some poignant questions. Now we cannot say for definite that these questions are as a result of our article, but it appears to have put Torcaz on the back foot.

After questions were raised a reply was received from Torcaz, here is a small extract:

“Dear Mr XXXXXXXX,

Following Mr XXXXXXXX recent telephone conversation with Mr Ricardo Lunkmand from our liaison office, it very much disappoints us to hear that you have doubts in our establishment.”

“Primarily, we are sorry you might have had bad experiences in the past.”

“Secondly we would like to reassure you that our company noted as Torcaz Abogados S.A is a very well established law firm founded in registered in Spain and the Canary Islands.”

Investigation

So their lies keep on coming. We can assure you that Torcaz are not registered in Spain or the Canary islands as will be verified by searching the main website for of the Spanish equivalent of Companies House: www.infocif.es

The results of our search can be seen below:

As may be observed, these are all the companies in Spain bearing the name Torcaz, strangely the “very well established” Torcaz Abogados SA do not seem to appear.

So you don’t believe us?

The email also goes on to list various organisations that they claim to be members of such as “Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations and regulated by (the Spanish Consumer Protection Act), Legislativo 1 de 16/11/2007.”

They also claim to be registered along with all their lawyers with the Colegio de Abogados (bar association) of Madrid, Málaga and Santa Cruz de Tenerife. They even quote “Our Spanish SRA numbers are; 1197, 5945, 2653. DNI: Q3863001H, along with their fake National Security No. 68776329 L.

Having checked the lawyers register using the numbers that they have provided they failed to show any legal personnel using them or indeed any others associated with this firm.

Once again the email was accompanied by fake Spanish court documentation; which to the untrained eye may look real, but that is far from the truth. The scammers have obviously gone to great lengths to try to convince the legitimacy of their fraud because they even claim to be covered by the Treasury for Commercial Lawyers for Refunds on Contracts (Tesoro Abogados Comercios Reintegro Contrato) this organisation is a provider of solicitors indemnity cover in case of malpractice. They quote:

“Número de Seguro de Indemnización de Profesionales.

TACRC (Tesoro Abogados Comercios Reintegro Contrato)

TACRC 1081/2015.”

This supposed indemnity covers clients to the sum of €60,000. We can assure you that no such indemnity policy exists anywhere in Spain.

One of the puzzling features is that most scam companies run a mile when the questions get too tough and too probing; it appears that Torcaz must be desperate to continue their sting by the fact they appear to try to instil confidence by actually replying to objections, maybe they have heard that persistence pays!

Rogues Gallery

We established in our previous article that the picture used on the website purporting to be Mr Fernando Olawza Garcia is in fact is in fact a well-respected Federal Judge from San Diego in California, USA. His real name is Dana Sabraw. Well they are at it again;

The above individual, shown on the Torcaz website as Manuel Fertalsa Idelaris, Lawyer, when in fact it is Vicente Álvarez-Pedreira Gil. See: https://elcotarro.com/?p=3420who is the president of the oldest hotel casinos in Tenerife; Real Casino de Tenerife.

Add it all together

Given the massive web of lies that Torcaz weave, if you add all the lies and idiosyncrasies together one would have to conclude that no matter how good the story and no matter how they attempt to put a stamp on the legitimacy on their service, if you are approached by them, you should immediately say no and walk away, failure to take this course of action will undoubtedly cost you money, frustration and eventually no actual return whatsoever!

Clearly the only two things these scammers truly depend upon are gullibility and greed.
