Timeshare has worldwide popularity, with a huge variety of resorts available in every continent. This month we are looking at timeshare resorts that are in the United Kingdom. These resorts have some reviews from some of the timeshare owners who enjoy taking their timeshare breaks in Great Britain.
Thurnham Hall, England
Thurnham Hall is a Diamond Resort that has 60 luxury self catering apartments within the hall and separate accommodation. This 12th century house is just 5 miles from Lancaster and is surrounded by beautiful scenery.
Thurnham Hall boasts a purpose built leisure centre with a swimming pool, a gymnasium and sauna as well as tanning facilities. You will also find a restaurant and bar on site and there are plenty of places close by if you fancy something different.
Owner review “Had another great weekend at Thurnham Hall. The studio apartments are really good and you get outside space which is great in this heatwave and using the pool was also really good and relaxing. They also have adult only hours for the pool. Since the Great Hall has been refurbished it looks very good inside and has been very tastefully decorated and furnished. We can’t wait to go back.”
Plas Talgarth Resort, Wales
MacDonald owned Plas Talgarth Resort is located in Snowdonia and overlooks 50 acres of scenic parkland. The resort consists of a Georgian Mansion House as well as villas, bungalows and garden apartments offering 1, 2 and 3 bedroom accommodation.
You will also find a health and leisure centre within the resort where you can treat yourself to beauty treatments and a massage, or for the more sports minded there is a range of sporting facilities including squash and tennis courts, a heated pool, snooker and table tennis areas.
A recent review from an owner said “Another very good time was had at this resort, and we have been many times!! Now our grandchildren also love it just as much as we do. Onsite Restaurant is good (they also cater for celiacs – not a lot of choice but at least the chips are GF) Lots of day trips around the area. Aberdovey beach is lovely. Looking forward to next year.”
Dunkeld House Hotel, Scotland
Situated in the Perthshire countryside, Dunkeld House Hotel is a four star luxury holiday resort. For anyone looking to explore nature in all it’s beauty, this resort is perfect as there are plenty of walking and cycle routes and great fishing spots.
The recently renovated Dunkeld house Hotel also offers a rejuvenating spa for the ultimate relaxation experience.
Review given just 1 week ago “Stayed here many times over the years, before it was part of the Hilton group and during. Our most recent visit is the first since it was taken over again by the current owners.
I think that it is clear that the standards have increased considerably since the Hilton days and I would now be happy to recommend this hotel for a 1 or 2 night stay.
Breakfast was great and I always like a full Scottish breakfast complete with haggis and this will not disappoint. Dinner was OK, however the children dining options was bizarre and still needs some work.
All the staff were friendly and efficient and went out of their way to help.”
