The TCA would like to give a big thanks to all of our readers and contributors to our news pages. We would not be able to write such definitive articles without the contribution that we receive from all of you! We have had great response over the last six months, with owners contributing letters that they are not sure about when they receive them from resorts.
We have even received correspondence of emails between timeshare owners and their corresponding resorts on a one to one basis. This gives us a much more in depth view of how the resorts are working with their clients, and how their sales are being made and ultimately how they handle complaints.
A lot of resorts are doing this by the book, and keeping to their professionalism, however, it does lead us to be able to report on those that are not, and specifically gives hard evidence as to the processes that some resorts use to keep their clients paying their maintenance.
Furthermore, we also receive communications from resorts, if they have noticed something is not quite correct in one of our articles, or can contribute further information to follow on from any article. Again, this is very helpful so that we can publish articles that have valid and up to date content.
A special thanks goes to Paul Gardner Bougaard; chief executive of the RDO for his informative email that he has sent to us clarifying details of timeshare relinquishment over a certain age. He has cleared up a few points here, and we will publish his letter with the helpful information over the next few days.
We love to hear from you all, good stories and bad! We hear from those who have had success with compensation claims, and then we hear from those that have been ‘scammed’, all of these bits of information are invaluable so that we can pass on real time information to the rest of you, either to warn you to avoid certain dealings, or to be able to recommend using certain companies for certain services.
