Over the last few months, we have received increased amounts of calls from consumers who have been passed our name as part of a cold call.
It is understood that these companies our advising timeshare consumers that they are recommended by the TCA.
Firstly we would like to tell you that the TCA does not and will NEVER recommend companies that partake in cold calling.
So who do we recommend?
– Registered and SRA compliant Solicitors
– Registered and SRA compliant in-house Solicitors
– Ethical Paralegal firms
– Exits firms who have submitted an ethical audit and comply with the Ethical Standards Policy. Specifically the principles set out in Parts 1-8.
Why do these companies feel the need to use our name?
Do they need our reputation to help them sell their product?
What is wrong with their brand if they have to use another?
In our opinion, any company that needs the TCA name instead of relying on their own standards and reputation, clearly doesn’t have a very good one.
I am sure that Harley Medical Group don’t seek approval from Pete Burns!
As stated above, calls regarding these companies and their use of the TCA name is multiplying. As such, we have decided to begin an investigation into this matter. As part of that investigation, we invite any consumers who have received a cold-call regarding their timeshare. Whereby the company has stated that “they are recommended by the TCA” to come forward. Please share your experience with us in order to deal with this matter.
