If you read our posts then you will know that, the TCA is fighting a battle. That battle is against the thieves, crooks and general wrongdoers who insist on making timeshare consumers lives, as painful and as stressful as possible. All to make money.

This battle is raging on and we will continue to assist consumers who need out help.

No matter how reasonable or unreasonable you think the timeshare industry is, you have to consider your position. And your position should never be compromised by your own actions. So be reasonable. What would the reasonable person do.

In and amongst the wrong-doing, some and I mean SOME resorts are starting to come around. Some, if you contact them and explain your reasons for leaving, will consider your needs. They will review your situation and offer you an ‘exit strategy’. Remembering that the Courts want to know that you have taken every reasonable step to ensure that Proceedings were not needed, Call or write to the resort in the first instance. Tell them that you will be exiting your contract and you wish to see their ‘exit strategy’. What is noteworthy is that exit firms/and or solicitors charge a fee for exiting you from a contract. So if the resort wont do it for free, but offer to let you out for a fee i.e. 1 years maintenance fees. That may not be a bad offer.

If the resort are unwilling to negotiate and/or even discuss an exit strategy with you, they you how no option but to consider your external options;

1. RING THE TCA

2. Refuse to pay your maintenance bills on the basis that your grounds for leaving were reasonable and the resort have refused to assist you;

3. Refer to a trusted legal professional who can review your contract and situation in order to gain you an exit from the agreement legally;

4. Shop around on the internet. Search for timeshare exit companies and speak to several. Gain all the information and the price. ESPECIALLY THE PRICE.

5. Make an informed decision before you use anyone. Read reviews and speak to other people in your situation.
